Overview

A interior renovation project for Healthy Start Childcare Center in collaboration with their principal. All cost will be sponsored by Ngee Ann Polytechnic. 4 groups will present their proposed idea and the principal will select which ideas may be implemented.

Main Idea of our Design

A major impact with minimal change and cost.

Initial Stage

We were tasked to renovate certain areas the childcare center. My group was tasked with the Library and K2 Area. The main purpose of this assignment is to teach us participatory design. We spent 3 weeks communicating with the community to understand them better, so that we can design a place which resolves their concern. Proposal Stage

After giving a presentation, the principal of the school decided to go along with my groups plan. While my group members were away for another project overseas, which i was unable to attend due to personal reasons, along with Clifford, we were tasked to follow up on this project. We both had to contact the client, receive feedback and provide a new proposed document and furniture catalogue before we could implement and start on the renovation works.

Implementing Stage

After gaining approval from the principal. We started with the basics of clearing and cleaning up the area, which took us 1 week. The installation of furniture would be done in March 2018 and the project will be completed in April 2018.
